Meal prices
The prices listed on the menus are current as of 10:30 a.m. on the day of purchase. Otherwise, prices are approximate and subject to change.
Meals for UWB students
- Students can take advantage of up to 60 meals at the student rate per month (an average of 2 meals per day). This applies to JIS card payments.
- The recommended amount for topping up the JIS card (JUK - unified university account) is CZK 200.
Meals for UWB staff
- UWB employees are entitled to 1 subsidized meal per day. This applies to JIS card payments.
- The recommended amount for topping up the JIS card (JUK - unified university account) is CZK 200.
Meals for guests and visitors of UWB

- Meals can be arranged for working visitors in UWB cafeterias.
- You can use REPRE cards for payment (available at the faculty dean’s offices of the faculties).
- Payment by internal invoice - send a request for catering services to Mrs. Honomichlová (honomi@skm.zcu.cz)
- Guests can pay in cash, by Pluxee meal vouchers, Pluxee meal card or by invoice. Larger events by prior arrangement for external guests with Mrs. Honomichlová (Cafeteria Manager).
Topping up JIS card accounts (JUK)
We can also top up your JIS card (deposit to JUK). The recommended amount for topping up the JIS card is CZK 200.
- The main top-up terminals can be used for topping up JIS cards in the following halls: NTIS, Technická 8; FST, Univerzitní 22 (on the right towards the Helpdesk); Cafeteria 4 Bory at Univerzitní 12 and Cafeteria 1 at Kollárova 19. The minimum amount for topping up at the payment terminal is CZK 100.
- When topping up by bank transfer, the Variable symbol (VS) = birth certificate number (or the number generated in ISKAM 222.......) is required. Account number: 78887000/2700, Specific symbol: 7777
- You can also top up after logging in to ISKAM via a payment gateway or QR code.
- You can also top up your JIS card using cash or credit card at the ticket offices in the cafeterias, cafés and kiosks.
- In order to speed up the dispensing of meals, it is recommended to have credit in CZK on the JIS card. It is not advisable to top up small amounts directly at the cafeteria registers during lunch hour.
Employees may benefit from payment by payroll deduction. In this case, the JIS card is not topped up.
Payments

- Pluxee (formerly Sodexo) meal vouchers (cannot be used to pay for subsidized meals for employees and students), with a maximum of CZK 5 returned in change.

Returns (withdrawals) from JIS card accounts (JUK)
- Requests for a refund of the balance on the JIS card (JUK account) and a refund of the deposit (if the student does not continue to stay in a UWB dorm in the following academic year) are submitted electronically in ISKAM (Accommodation and Catering).

- tabs Account, Basic data - fill in the account number and bank code

- Refund the balance. Once clicked, a refund request is submitted and the amount will be refunded as soon as possible to the bank account indicated (within 2 weeks).
